IMPORTANT INFORMATION

UbiComp / ISWC 2020 will be a virtual conference and will be held online starting September 12 2020. IMWUT papers, ISWC Briefs and Notes, UbiComp / ISWC Posters and Demos, the Doctoral Colloquium, Workshops, and the ISWC Design Exhibition will all be presented using our Whova virtual conference app.
UbiComp / ISWC 2021 will be a physical conference and will still be held in Cancún, Mexico, as originally planned for the 2020 conference, from September 11-15 2021.

UbiComp is a premier interdisciplinary venue in which leading international researchers, designers, developers, and practitioners in the field present and discuss novel results in all aspects of ubiquitous and pervasive computing. This includes the design, development, and deployment of ubiquitous and pervasive computing technologies and the understanding of human experiences and social impacts that these technologies facilitate.

Ubicomp 2020 will be multi-track and we aim to include a broad multidisciplinary program, encompassing any work that one would previously expect to see at either the ubicomp or pervasive conferences.

The conference will be held on 12 – 17th September 2020.

Pre-conference tracks will be held online on 12 – 13th September 2020.

Main tracks will be held online on 14 – 17th September 2020.

UbiComp 2020 is collocated with the ACM International Symposium on Wearable Computers (ISWC’20).

Past Conferences

The ACM international joint conference on pervasive and ubiquitous computing (UbiComp) is the result of a merger of the two most renowned conferences in the field: pervasive and ubicomp. While it retains the name of the latter in recognition of the visionary work of Mark Weiser, its long name reflects the dual history of the new event. A complete list of both ubicomp and pervasive past conferences is provided below.
